Limescale? - vinegar it!

We live in Surrey and unfortunately that means very, very hard water.

It is pretty annoying to see your bathroom 1 day after a  proper scrub having water marks everywhere. I am forever battling with limescale. I could go the easy way and just buy some really "effective" limescale remover from the shop, but what whey will not tell you is that they are quite TOXIC!

I don't want to pollute our house with it. In the end you are breathing it! Sometimes the natural way is the best. I use the "transparent" vinegar a lots when cleaning.

Fear enough it smell, but just for a while :-). Also it is very cheap and you can't poison yourself with it.

Firstly I use it for a cleaning the shower head. I just unscrew it (preferably without damaging the bath :-) ) and just pop it in the bowl with some vinegar. It takes about 1 hour and it is clean!

When cleaning the taps and sinks I will get some cloths and soak it with a lots of vinegar then wrap it around the taps & plugs and places where the limescale is the worst and leave it there for a while.

Limescale in the kettle? There is no better cleaner than vinegar! Just pour some into the kettle let it heat a little (it works quicker) and leave it for a 1/2 hour. If you don't like the smell just pop it outside! Your kettle & filter will be nice and sparkling and the smell will go after about second wash of the kettle. It is the safest way how to clean it. If you do it regularly your kettle will serve you much longer.

It is surprising what a little bit of vinegar can do. You don't need expensive and toxic cleaners. Don't listen to all of the expert "recommendation" on TV. It is a sell pitch!  You are not a bad girlfriend/ mother if you will not use the most modern and all bacteria killing cleaners!

Vinegar will kill most of the bacteria so it is good as disinfectant. And if you don't like the smell just think that it is save to breath it touch it, even eat it, no any toxic products in your house and you can wash your cleaning clothes with your clothes without any worry.  Very ecological & very money saving. :-)

It makes me sometimes quite cross when others are telling you that you have to use this and that for cleaning and you have to spent so much to buy this most high-tec product. Even some ECO product are just unnecessary! The shops thinks that if they put ECO on the bottle they can charge more for it! No you don't  have to buy them and pay the high prices. Just do your research and clean your house with product which is the best for you, your purse and your health. :-)
