We had a professional photographer for all day. The only things what you will have left from your wedding day are memories, wedding rings and photos!
This is my parents house. I have grew up here. It is in the small village (about 230 people) and closest bigger town is about 20 km away. The boys from the village build us a very nice "gate" It say Lots of luck to newlyweds.
We were lucky with my car. We were offered historical Tatra 603 for free by my dad's friend.
I got my wedding dress on Internet and without trying it on! It is made to measure so the fit was perfect.
As Czech tradition, all wedding cars are decorated.
We were stopped by village people for some more of Bohemian traditions.
Rob had to change a baby (only a doll with mustard for poo :-) I couldn't help him, only instruct him.
Then we had to cut some wood (with really blunt saw!)
And off to go to Chateau Loucen, where the rest of the wedding guesst were waiting (the English part).
This was my car the cream Tatra 603
My bouquet was pink peonies, white hydrangea and white frezia.
Wedding ceremony was at historic room at Chateau Loucen. It had beautiful wooden ceiling! Here are the best man + my future husband waiting for me.
My cousins children as page boy and flower girl. My mum was drying peonies petals from her garden in year in advance. Bless her.
For music we had a single violoncellist and classic Czech music.
In Czech we do not have a lots of bridesmaids. Only 1 as witness and also 1 best man.
My parents. My mam was of course crying the whole of ceremony. :-)
My husbands parents.
Such a beautiful room! The ceremony was twice as long as normally. My husband can't speak Czech so we had to have translator. I could hear everything twice!
Finally married. Al of the 13 months of preparation was worth it!
Just checking our rings.
Some more of the Czech traditions. I had to then rescue Rob by sawing off the iron ball of this foot.
We had some fun taking this picture! Me + Rob and my best friend as bridesmaid + best man.
My mum was baking and baking before wedding. These are traditional wedding sweets. We had a kilos of them on the table and also they were given in little cute baskets with the invitations.
Our main wedding cake. We had all together about 6 of them (different designs)
The wedding tree. Done by me :-). Our guests just signed the little heart leaves. We have it now framed in our bedroom.
Another tradition is the invitation by head Chef to a wedding reception and also breaking of the plate.
We have to then cleaned it up with Rob.
Reception was in really big white tent just in front of the Chateau. It also had wooden floor, very good for dancing. :-)
Our first meal as newlywed couple has to be shared (only 1 plate between us) and also our soup spoon had a hole! Thank you very much my dad for it!
From our mums we got a nice bibs. My husband was not impressed. :-) They are handmade by my mum.
We had to feed each other. It was fun.
Then some toasts and speeches. My dad was so nervous.
Of course cutting of our cake straight after the meal. It is hot in June in Czech! The cakes were literary melting in front of our eyes.
And the first dance. We had a song from Jason Mraz. I love his music. Funnily his surname has a meaning in Czech. Mraz = frost.
Some more photographing in the historical part of Chateau Loucen.
And some in the garden, on the tree. Who would think to climb a tree in the high heals and wedding dress! Only our photographer Tomas. :-)
This is my favourite photo from all wedding. We finally relaxed. All was good! I was quite stressed before wedding, but nothing went wrong.
In the evening was some fun program + games. Rob is trying to find me by my foot. Blind folded.
Than I have to find my husband by a nose!
Some more games. Involving my mums "attic clothes".
And finally this is our bedroom for a night. Beautiful, isn't it?
I just love the light!
Thank you for checking out our wedding photos. Bye!
