External wall insulation on Victorian end of terrace

We done it! Finally the External insulation is finished and (drums Please) it looks GOOD!
You know we only did it on one wall and we were worried that it would look like a sore tooth on our Victorian brick house.

We were lucky that we got a Grant of £5000 from Runnymede Council (Action for Surrey). Unfortunately they stopped it now.

Our builders were quick and I don't think that they actually spent more than 5 days installing it. Of course they had to wait for the glue, render & paint to dry before starting a new stage, but all it was done under 3 weeks!

The difference in our house is noticeable. Instead of 17C in the mornings we have 19.5 - 20C! The luxury of warm house! Especially with 10 months old baby.

The insulation is done with 9cm boards, glue and plynths & air vents added (the black at the bottom). The edge is steel so will not get damaged by bins. Builders had to also adjust our gate, but it also looks good.

Also the TV aerial cable is hidden into insulation.
