To be mortgage free

We are on the way of overpaying our mortgage regularly. I have set up a standing order for £100 a month. It is on the top of our £862.42 payment.
Just £100 a month should shorten our mortgage term by 3 years and save us over £10000 on interest.
We really should make much more than just £100 but by some magic we always spend it.

 

R.I.P. our lovely cat Meowgi

We have a sad news. Our lovely cat Meowgi died on 17th of December. He was run over by a car. Some very nice people took him to VET, but sadly he was already dead.

Mortgage overpayments for 2016

Finally we started to overpay on our mortgage. It is just £100 a month, but it will cut our mortgage term by 3 years and 2 months, saving over £10000 on interest.
I hope that we will not really miss the £100 and it will  make a big difference in long run.
