Our first baby furniture - cot

We have our first baby furniture! It was given to us by Rob colleague. It is just a simple wooden one and have been used before, but it is in good condition. We were so excited that we have put it together in the evening.  Also to check if everything is OK and working. The cot is from Ikea and it was quite simple to put up.

 

Ta da! All good and sturdy, now we can put it apart and paint it. I have chosen this paint:

Intelligent eggshell in shirting colour. It has even a toy paint regulation certificate. It means it is safe for baby cots. :-)

I hope that we can get also a glider chair and some chest of drawers on e-bay. I can paint them all the same colour so they will look good and match. We are in the end trying to keep the budget low.

The only thing I will not compromise is the mattress. I will go for this one:

It is made of coconut coir, fleece wool and cotton. It doesn't have any chemicals in (fire retardants) because wool is naturally fire proof.
